The Project Tavros It is an initiative for the construction and rehabilitation of Sustainable housing.
The project's objective is to improve people's quality of life through the implementation of sustainable technologies in the construction sector. The campaign's objective is to sponsor the building's refurbishment with innovative materials and systems, through an international crowdfunding campaign.
It is led by the Hellenic Passive House Institute in collaboration with Greenpeace Greece and the Municipality of Moschato-Tavros.

The Tavros project consists of creating a platform for the development and deployment of applications with a focus on creating applications that are both accessible and usable with the least amount of effort possible. The platform focuses on making it easier for developers to create applications that are both accessible and usable without requiring extensive knowledge of accessibility standards or complex implementation details.
The objective of Tavros is the construction of a building and the renovation of housing in the municipality of Moschato-Tavros, which will implement innovative technologies to minimise energy consumption and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
This is a pioneering activity in Greece, aiming to demonstrate that it is possible to build habitable and comfortable buildings without sacrificing the environment. It is the second pilot project of the Passivistas programme, which seeks to promote the use of low-energy and high-resource-efficiency buildings.
One of the most notable features is its focus on energy efficiency. The building will feature an advanced thermal insulation system and photovoltaic solar panels to generate electricity, along with ventilation and heating systems that utilise renewable energy.
Furthermore, it has been designed to maximise the intake of natural light, and minimise the need for artificial lighting.
Another important aspect of this idea is its commitment to Environmental sustainability. Environmentally friendly building materials have been used, and the building has been designed to integrate harmoniously into the natural surroundings. Furthermore, waste management and recycling systems have been implemented to minimise its impact on the environment.
The Tavros project demonstrates how it is possible to improve people's quality of life in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way. Through the application of innovative technologies and the use of environmentally friendly materials, it has been possible to construct a comfortable, habitable, and energy-efficient building.
Thanks to its success, Tavros has become a role model in Greece and around the world for sustainable building construction.
