Thermal Production and DHW Installation<\/p>\n

Client:<\/strong> Murcia Sports Palace<\/p>\n

Location:<\/strong> Palacio de los deportes de Murcia, Av. del Roc\u00edo, 7, 30007 Puente Tocinos, Murcia<\/p>\n

REGENERA has carried out the refurbishment of the thermal production installation for the production of cooling, heating and DHW in the Murcia Sports Palace. The project involved dismantling the existing installations and replacing them with state-of-the-art equipment designed to optimise energy efficiency.<\/p>\n

On the roof, where four cooling towers were previously located, three heat pumps have been installed: one of them divided into two modules with a total cooling capacity of 878 kW, and the other two with a capacity of 500 kW each. In the machine room, the former location of the air-conditioning plants, a water-water machine with a heating capacity of 309 kW, a plate heat exchanger and a high-temperature machine with a capacity of 43 kW have been installed for the production of DHW and to support the heating system.<\/p>\n

The hydraulic system has also been renovated. The impulsion pumps of the old towers have been replaced by two new pumps for each air conditioning unit. The piping system is made of AISI 304L stainless steel, while the DHW circuit is made of AISI 316L, thus guaranteeing durability and resistance to corrosion.<\/p>\n

The refurbishment also included a complete upgrade of the TREND control system. This system is connected via a communications bus to a central computer where the control programme was previously located and which now allows remote supervision and management via a web server from any device. To ensure correct operation, several controllers and field elements that were faulty have been replaced.<\/p>\n

In order to carry out the work, Regenera's actions have been:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Dismantle existing air-conditioning and domestic hot water production installations.<\/li>\n
  2. Cold production for air conditioning.<\/li>\n
  3. Heat production for air conditioning.<\/li>\n
  4. DHW production and storage.<\/li>\n
  5. Installation of a new monitoring system and replacement of faulty control elements and integration with the existing system.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
