La electrificaci\u00f3n de muelles, la reducci\u00f3n de emisiones durante las escalas y la integraci\u00f3n de energ\u00edas renovables en infraestructuras estrat\u00e9gicas se han convertido en prioridades para el sector mar\u00edtimo europeo.<\/p>\n<p>En este contexto, el Consejo de Administraci\u00f3n de la Autoridad Portuaria de Cartagena ha aprobado la adjudicaci\u00f3n del concurso para la instalaci\u00f3n y explotaci\u00f3n de un sistema OPS en el muelle Juan Sebasti\u00e1n Elcano, una infraestructura estrat\u00e9gica para reducir el impacto ambiental de los cruceros durante su estancia en puerto.<\/p>\n<p>La concesi\u00f3n contempla la ocupaci\u00f3n de una superficie de <strong>1.058 metros cuadrados<\/strong> y una inversi\u00f3n estimada por parte del concesionario de <strong>15,19 millones de euros<\/strong>, destinada a la instalaci\u00f3n del sistema OPS. Esta inversi\u00f3n incluye la subestaci\u00f3n espec\u00edfica, los sistemas de conversi\u00f3n de frecuencia y tensi\u00f3n, los equipos de conexi\u00f3n a buque, la ingenier\u00eda y la puesta en marcha.<\/p>\n<p>A esta actuaci\u00f3n se suma la inversi\u00f3n p\u00fablica de la Autoridad Portuaria de Cartagena, cercana a los <strong>15 millones de euros<\/strong>, para desarrollar las infraestructuras el\u00e9ctricas necesarias. Entre ellas se encuentran la l\u00ednea de acometida en <strong>66 kV<\/strong>, la subestaci\u00f3n de transformaci\u00f3n <strong>66\/20 kV<\/strong>, la l\u00ednea subterr\u00e1nea de <strong>20 kV<\/strong> hasta el muelle de cruceros y el suministro de equipos de la subestaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>En conjunto, el proyecto OPS en puertos moviliza una inversi\u00f3n superior a los <strong>30 millones de euros<\/strong>, situ\u00e1ndose como una de las principales actuaciones de electrificaci\u00f3n portuaria dentro del sistema portuario espa\u00f1ol.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 es importante el OPS en puertos?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Un sistema <strong>OPS<\/strong> permite que un buque atracado se conecte directamente a la red el\u00e9ctrica terrestre del puerto para cubrir sus necesidades energ\u00e9ticas durante la escala.<\/p>\n<p>Aunque un barco est\u00e9 detenido, sigue necesitando energ\u00eda para alimentar servicios esenciales como iluminaci\u00f3n, climatizaci\u00f3n, sistemas de seguridad, comunicaciones, equipos t\u00e9cnicos, refrigeraci\u00f3n o servicios internos. Tradicionalmente, esa demanda energ\u00e9tica se cubre mediante motores auxiliares a bordo, normalmente alimentados con combustible.<\/p>\n<p>El sistema OPS cambia este modelo. En lugar de mantener esos generadores en funcionamiento, el buque recibe electricidad desde tierra. Esto permite apagar los motores auxiliares durante la estancia en puerto y reducir de forma directa las emisiones de <strong>CO\u2082<\/strong>, part\u00edculas, \u00f3xidos de nitr\u00f3geno y ruido.<\/p>\n<p>Esta tecnolog\u00eda resulta especialmente relevante en terminales de cruceros, donde los buques pueden permanecer atracados durante varias horas y donde la actividad portuaria suele convivir con entornos urbanos pr\u00f3ximos.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Un proyecto con energ\u00eda renovable y visi\u00f3n de futuro<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Uno de los aspectos m\u00e1s relevantes del proyecto es que la infraestructura el\u00e9ctrica desarrollada por la Autoridad Portuaria estar\u00e1 vinculada a una conexi\u00f3n el\u00e9ctrica con energ\u00eda <strong>100% renovable<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Esto refuerza el impacto positivo del sistema OPS, ya que no solo se desplaza el consumo energ\u00e9tico desde el buque a tierra, sino que se favorece el uso de electricidad de origen renovable para cubrir parte de la demanda energ\u00e9tica de los cruceros durante su estancia en puerto.<\/p>\n<p>La combinaci\u00f3n de electrificaci\u00f3n, eficiencia energ\u00e9tica y energ\u00eda renovable es clave para avanzar hacia puertos m\u00e1s sostenibles. No se trata \u00fanicamente de reducir emisiones locales, sino de transformar el modelo energ\u00e9tico asociado a la actividad mar\u00edtima y portuaria.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Primeras conexiones previstas para 2027<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>El desarrollo del sistema OPS se ejecutar\u00e1 en varias fases. Seg\u00fan la informaci\u00f3n comunicada por la Autoridad Portuaria de Cartagena, el objetivo es que los primeros buques puedan conectarse a la red el\u00e9ctrica del puerto en la <strong>segunda mitad de 2027<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Esta previsi\u00f3n sit\u00faa al Puerto de Cartagena en una posici\u00f3n avanzada dentro del proceso de electrificaci\u00f3n portuaria. La puesta en marcha del sistema permitir\u00e1 reducir de forma significativa las emisiones de CO\u2082, part\u00edculas y ruido durante la estancia de los cruceros en el muelle.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, reforzar\u00e1 la imagen de Cartagena como puerto comprometido con la sostenibilidad y con la mejora de la calidad ambiental de su entorno.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Regenera y la transici\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica portuaria<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Para Regenera, este proyecto representa una evoluci\u00f3n natural dentro de su actividad vinculada a la eficiencia energ\u00e9tica, las energ\u00edas renovables, la ingenier\u00eda y la gesti\u00f3n inteligente de la energ\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>La adjudicaci\u00f3n a <a href=\"https:\/\/regeneraenergy.es\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>REGENERA<\/strong><\/a> sit\u00faa a la compa\u00f1\u00eda en un \u00e1mbito de enorme proyecci\u00f3n: la descarbonizaci\u00f3n de infraestructuras portuarias. La transici\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica no depende \u00fanicamente de generar energ\u00eda limpia, sino tambi\u00e9n de transformar la forma en la que los grandes consumidores industriales, log\u00edsticos y mar\u00edtimos utilizan esa energ\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>Los puertos son nodos estrat\u00e9gicos para la econom\u00eda, el comercio y el turismo. Por eso, su transformaci\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica tiene un impacto directo en la competitividad, la sostenibilidad y la calidad de vida de las ciudades portuarias.<\/p>\n<p>Con este proyecto, Cartagena avanza hacia un modelo portuario m\u00e1s sostenible e innovador, mientras Regenera consolida su papel como empresa capaz de participar en actuaciones energ\u00e9ticas complejas, estrat\u00e9gicas y
