VPP4Islands - The project named LC-SC3-ES-4-2020: Decarbonising energy systems of geographical Islands has a consortium of 19 partners. It will develop virtual power plants (VPP) for interoperable and smart islands in Europe.
This 42-month project will facilitate the integration of renewable systems and accelerate the transition to smart and green technology. It will also help islands to exploit the potential of energy efficiency and innovative storage approaches to achieve energy self-sufficiency.
REGENERA is studying the island's energy service requirements and conceptual design. It will also assist in the development of smart functionalities for energy management and decarbonisation. Project funded under the European framework programme HORIZONTE 2020.
