The SMARTGEMS thematic project H2020-MSCA-RISE-2014: Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research and Innovation Staff Exchange (RISE) consists of a consortium of 12 partners.
Objectives
The main objective of the SmartGEMS project is to analyse in detail all aspects of smart grids aimed at improving reliability, mitigating security risks, increasing load configuration and energy efficiency, optimal integration and generation-consumption matching as well as intelligent monitoring and control. To this end, the aim of the SmartGEMS project is to use the concept of optimisation and reliable operation of Smart Grids as a common basis for collaboration and exchange of personnel between the partners. In addition to designing and optimising full-scale smart grid applications.
SmartGEMS is based on a three-phase expansion:
- The first phase starts with the user aspects, focusing on the analysis of smart and zero energy buildings.
- In the second phase, research activities focus on the various components of smart grids that extend the cycle through the penetration of smart grids at EU level.
- The third phase concerns the integration of all components for the development of intelligent applications for optimisation purposes.
In the project a work exchange is carried out in relation to the research project, where REGENERA had 11 months, out of the 48 months of the completed project, of staff exchange with the Academic Research Institutes. It manages the development of strong and sustainable synergies between the academic community and industry experts, transferring knowledge and acquiring new and complementary competences, as well as fostering process and product innovation. Project funded under the European framework programme HORIZONTE 2020.
