The aim of SmartFLEX is to create a tool that can provide recommendations to reduce the energy cost of electricity consumption by using the plant's energy flexibility.
What does it consist of?
By means of an intelligent AI-based algorithm, taking energy costs, weather data and the plant's flexibility potential as input data, a power consumption prediction based on historical data is calculated on a daily basis using a mathematical method.
The AI detects the times when it will be convenient to reduce consumption in order to obtain economic savings by shifting consumption to times when the electricity cost is lower, optimising energy demand. This project has been completed over a period of 1.5 years and has been an individual REGENERA project.
