AquaFLEX is an individual project developed by REGENERA whose objective is to identification of flexibility potentials at Wastewater treatment plants y Drinking water treatment plants.
During the two years of the project's duration, AquaFLEX allowed to define and apply different energy flexibility strategies, supported by techniques modelling and simulation which facilitated the study of different operational scenarios. This approach allowed for precise analysis on how to increase the energy flexibility of the facilities and optimize their performance.
Likewise, the project AquaFLEX included one Economic evaluation of the proposed solutions and a sensitivity analysis of the parameters that influence flexibility, in order to determine the most relevant factors for improving the efficiency and sustainability of the system.
Thanks to the results obtained, REGENERA It deepened its understanding of energy flexibility in the field of water treatment, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and the transition towards more sustainable energy models.
